An experiment by the newspaper “Schwerter Zeitung” I participated in recently won in one of the categories of the European Newspaper Award. The editors’ idea was to transform the local news into a comic edition. I was joined by Ralf Marczinczik and Steff Murschetz and together we set off to tell the latest news in comic format. The local echo was mostly positive, though one very upset lady showed up at the offices to express her disapprovement. No reason to worry, seems like we won’t be doing it again in the near future.
